Durban road closures ahead of International AIDS Conference
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The International AIDS Conference gets underway on Monday (18 July) until Friday ( 22 July) at the Durban International Convention Centre.
The event is expected to attract a little over 15 000 delegates to the city.
Here's a map on the road closures ahead of the conference and access areas to the city centre.
The roads around the Durban ICC will be cordoned off and Walnut Road will be closed with concrete bollards.
Pedestrian access will be from the Durban Exhibition Centre via Gate B1 or Gate B.
The top left hand corner is the Centrum Parking - this is where parking will be cordoned off for Durban ICC Staff and tenants. Access to this parking will be off Bram Fischer Road.
You would walk across the foot bridge from Centrum parking through the South Plaza Parking at the Durban Ezhibition Centre. There will be badge check points at Durban Exhibition Centre, so ensure that you have it on you at all times.
Please see yellow arrows showing access.
All vehicles requiring access to Durban ICC will be required to go through the remote search park based at CR Swart.
