A Durban police officer will be back in court next week after she was arrested for alleged corruption.
According to the Hawks, 39-year-old Lieukazi Ndzendze solicited money from a man accused of drunken driving with the promise of getting the case withdrawn.
The Hawks says Ndzendze, who is based at Durban North, called 51-year-old Jaychand Seerpath to the station and said she wanted to serve the court summons on him.

Officials says when Seerpath arrived, Ndzendze apparently told him the matter could be resolved with R4 000.
She allegedly asked for a further R2 000 from him and said the money would go to the prosecutor.
It's understood the money was paid on the spot, with Seerpath apparently promising to pay the additional R2000 within two days.
The constable is also alleged to have demanded lunch money and was given an extra R400.
Seepath has also been arrested.
