Durban B&B owner murder-accused 'must face full wrath of law'
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A close friend of slain Durban bed and breakfast owner, Jaqueline Needham, hopes the justice system does not fail her following the arrest of two suspects this week.
The 69-year-old was robbed and killed at her business premises in Glenwood nearly a year ago.
The suspects made their first appearance in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Friday.
They face charges of robbery and murder, as well as for defeating the ends of justice for reporting a false case of carjacking.
Police say they are searching for more suspects.

Needham's friend, Heather Roos, says news of the arrests was bittersweet.
"I think it is just a reminder of the senseless and cruel way in which Jackie's life ended. I am hoping that these guys really face the full wrath of the law and not get a less sentence."
Ward 33 Councillor Sakhile Mngadi says crime in the area has been ridiculously high.
"Any efforts from the police to intervene and find these perpetrators is something that we all welcome. So it is a sigh of relief from our side. J was an incredible community member.
"She was very active and she ran feeding schemes for the homeless. She was really an asset and someone that held the community together, so her loss for us has been quite hard."
