Transport officials say DNA testing to identify the victims of this weekend's horror crash on the R74 is being fast-tracked.
Six people were killed when a minibus taxi and a car collided between Greytown and Kranskop, before bursting into flames.
KZN Transport's Kwanele Ncalane said: "It is alleged that one vehicle was avoiding a stationary vehicle and collided head on with an on-coming vehicle. Six people were burnt beyond recognition."
Fifteen others were hurt in the Saturday night smash.

It's believed the taxi was transporting people from a wedding in Nkandla to Estcourt.
The car was travelling from Greytown.
Ncalane said: "Police are investigating cases of culpable homicide; however they are also investigating negligence and reckless driving on the side of the drivers; hence it is clear that the occupants in the mini-bus the normal and acceptable load since it was carrying 20 people."
