A dentist and a nurse have now been charged with the death of a Canadian man at an unlicensed drug rehab facility the dentist was operating in Westville.
Anwar Jeewa was arrested in January after the 26-year-old man who'd flown here to seek treatment for drug abuse - died at Minds Alive.
A post-mortem found the man had overdosed on Xanax.
A toxicology report also showed levels of ibogaine - a controversial drug, touted as a miracle cure for drug addiction - but outlawed in some countries due to a lack of research.
Jeewa made a brief appearance in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court today - alongside the nurse.
Jeewa who is out of bail at the moment was today joined in the dock by Zamangwane Hlongwane.

The 31-year-old nurse and mother of one has also been granted bail of R3000.
Police say the deceased died as a result of poor screening, an correct diagnosis and the wrongful administration of ibogaine.
The accused are facing charges of culpable homicide.
The pair is due back before a magistrate in September for the case to be transferred to a higher court.
