Denis Hurley Centre officially opened

Members of the public, religious leaders and other officials have gathered in the Durban city centre for the official opening of the Denis Hurley Centre.
The opening of the facility - which has been running since January - is being marked on what would have been Hurley's 100th birthday.
The centre takes care of the city's homeless, sick and unemployed among others.
Hurley was the Archbishop of Durban and an anti-apartheid activist.
Peace activist and granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi - Ela Ghandi, the Irish Ambassador and KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu are among those attending the ceremony.
Mchunu says it is important to continue Hurley's legacy.
"We were attracted more by the work that they're doing to uplift the poor, particularly young people who are victims of - among other things - drugs and homelessness. But, they bring them together and give them hope.
It is our hope that in partnership with the Denis Hurley Centre we'll be able to give many young people direction and it's all thanks to the Denis Hurley Centre," he said.
