COVID-19 cases confirmed in 3 Durban townships

The coronavirus has emerged in three townships in Durban.
"We experienced one death from Umlazi. There is a case in KwaMashu as well as, at Inanda where a person was also found positive," eThekwini Mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda said.
Kaunda, the South African Police Service and the army went on an awareness walk at Umlazi's Glebelands Hostel on Thursday.

He says tracer teams have been sent to the affected townships to screen for possible cases of the virus.
"The department is ceased with the responsibility to identify people who have become potential contacts of those individuals and trace those who would have met such individuals."
"We are happy with the work that the Department of Health and the province, as well as the City Health, are doing."
In Umlazi, a 42-year-old teacher died after testing positive for COVID-19.
Another teacher at her school is now infected, including a Grade nine pupil who knew her but attended another school.
