Court rejects Malema’s firearm dismissal application
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
EFF leader Julius Malema's application to have his firearm case struck
off the roll was denied in the East London Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
The matter has been postponed to early next year.
Malema is accused of discharging a rifle at the EFF's 5th anniversary celebration in Mdantsane in 2018.
His bodyguard, Adriaan Snyman has also been charged with contravening the Firearms Control Act.

Addressing the crowd outside the court, Malema said the State had no case against Snyman.
"You don't want Adriaan, you have nothing against Adriaan. Release my white man and face me alone, I don't need anyone, I can stand up to all of you alone.
"So, comrades, that's what we're dealing with and will deal with that after elections. From here, in our minds there's no court, there's no case."
