Court hears of Siam Lee's last moments

The cause of death of murdered Durban North woman, Siam Lee has been detailed in the Durban Magistrate's Court. The court heard how she suffered a head injury as well as burns to 90 percent of her body.
The court has also heard details on how Lee might have spent her last few hours.
The man accused of kidnapping and killing the 20-year-old appeared in the dock again today. His case has been transferred to the High Court.
Lee disappeared from a Durban North home in early January. Her burnt body was found in New Hanover in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands a few days later.

The 29-year-old accused, who cannot be identified as he also faces a charge of rape in another case, was granted bail in June after a protracted application.
The State alleges Lee was held captive at the accused's home in Shongweni for more that 24 hours until at around midnight on Friday, the 5th of January when the accused decided it was time to kill her.

On the State's version of events, the accused drove Lee out to New Hanover, threw her into a sugar cane field, doused her with petrol and set her alight.
Her body was discovered two days later.
