Local government MEC, Sipho Hlomuka, has condemned what he says are the ongoing brutal killings of Induna in uMgungundlovu.
It follows two separate murders over this past weekend.
Induna Bongumusa Mdluli who served under the Manyavu Traditional Council was gunned down at his home on Sunday.
Two days earlier - Induna Bonginkosi Dlomo of the Nxamalala sub-Clan was killed in his home near Howick.
Cooperative Governance spokesperson, Senzelwe Mzila says there are claims the attacks were over leadership positions.

"Hlomuka has called on the affected communities to work with the police towards the apprehension of anyone who could have been involved in these murders."
Hlomuka has also expressed his concern at the flagrant disregard for human life by forces that are hell-bent on undermining the institution of traditional leadership within our province.
