Cocaine worth R7.4 million seized at OR Tambo

Customs officials have made another drugs bust at OR Tambo International Airport.
They found 29kg of cocaine with an estimated value of R7 million rand yesterday in a cosmetics shipment from Brazil and bound for the DRC.
After sniffer dogs identified the drug, officials inspected some of the cosmetic bottles with a white cream that tested positive for cocaine.

The drugs were handed over to SA police and the Hawks for further investigation.
Last week, customs officials at OR Tambo seized nearly 200kg of cocaine, also in the form of a cream, which was destined for Australia after arriving from Brazil.
