ANC vows to continue Pappas protest despite interdict
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The ANC Youth League in
KZN says it isn't backing down from its shutdown plans against uMngeni Local
Municipality Mayor Chris Pappas.

The party was meant to embark on protest action on Monday following nepotism allegations levelled against Pappas and his fiancé.
It's over accusations that excessive grants were given to a newly established NPO solely owned by the mayor's partner.
The claims came after Pappas was announced as the DA's premier candidate for KZN.
Pappas has since obtained a high court interdict against the ANC strike that declares it unlawful.

However, the ANC’s Zama Zondi says they haven't received anything from the court.
"As a youth league in KZN, we received a number of support from the local taxi industry and organisations in support of us that the corrupt Pappas must step down. Therefore, on Thursday we will continue mass action in Umgeni."
