ANC expels Ace Magashule from party
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Ace Magashule has been expelled from the African National Congress.
The former secretary-general had been found guilty of misconduct after he tried to get President Cyril Ramaphosa suspended from the ANC in 2021.
He was then told to apologise to Ramaphosa, but he never did.
The party's National Disciplinary Committee last week gave him seven days to explain why he should not be kicked out of the party.
He failed to give reasons.
Political analyst Levy Ndou believes Magashule should have cooperated with the committee.
He thinks Magashule will remain in politics.
"Anything is possible. Politicians are very difficult to retire from politics. So if he has been in politics for a greater period in his life, the possibility is that we might not lose him because that is where he actually belongs."
