African Grey stolen from Durban pet shop found

Owners and staff at Julie's Pet Shop at Gateway Mall are overjoyed after police located a six-week-old African Grey which was stolen from the store on Saturday.
The parrot was found at a home in Verulam.
The weekend incident left shop assistant, Leroy Mpofu shocked.
"Basically what happened day is I stepped out for a few minutes. This gentleman walked in with his daughter and his son.
"The daughter kept this other shop assistant busy one side while he took the bird and put it into his son's hoodie and then they walked out with the bird," he said.
Mpofu says he only realised the bird was missing when he got back to the store to feed the animals.
Shop owner Hawa Deedat says she is thankful to the police as well as members of the public who helped find the bird by sharing camera footage of the theft on social media.
She says the parrot - worth about R2 000 - will be taken to a vet tomorrow.
No arrests have been made yet.
