The IEC has added 48 more voting stations in KZN ahead of this weekend's voter registration and local government elections later in the year.
This takes the total number of voting stations in the province to 4 795.
Briefing the media in Durban this morning, Provincial Electoral Officer Mawethu Mosery said the number of wards to be contested has also been increased by 42 because of an increase in the number of voters.
