3 killed in Mpumalanga plane crash

Three people have been killed when their light aircraft crashed on a mountain immediately after taking off in Mpumalanga.

According to the South African Police Services Facebook post, the victims - two men and one woman - had not yet been identified, but were believed to be from Mpumalanga.

“Two of them are burnt beyond recognition except for one whose upper body is still identifiable.”
Civil Aviation officials were investigating the cause of the crash and the police have opened an inquest.
