Zodwa Wabantu on groping video: 'There was no abuse'
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
"Those men are my supporters," says Zodwa about viral groping video.
Zodwa Wabantu has defended the men who touched her inappropriately during a recent appearance.
A video doing the rounds on social media shows the male fans touching her bottom while she speaks to the crowd. The 34-year-old had her back turned to the men at the time.
One man can be seen pushing her dress aside so he can touch her derriere.
Social media users were outraged that the men had the audacity to touch her without permission.
"Zodwa Wabantu doesn't deserve this, please respect women guys!!!!" one user wrote.
Another woman added: "Just saw that video of Zodwa being touched on stage. I don’t know, I feel so uncomfortable on her behalf. There’s no way she’s okay with it, no way!"
But as it turns out, Zodwa says "no harm was done".
"They are my fans, there was no abuse whatsoever. Those men are the ones who support me, not all these people making noise," she told TshisaLIVE.
The vosho queen added that she will continue to allow her fans to touch her at her shows.

Zodwa might not mind, but many women were appalled by the men.
"Regardless if she allowed it or doesn’t respect herself or you , this is crossing a boundary and should be considered sexual harassment. She even asked to fetched from where she was standing, clearly indicating she was uncomfortable," one woman tweeted.
As for the men who are condoning this 🤮. Hypocrites! If this was your sister, mother, aunt etc or even your gf, you wouldn’t be applauding this. Zodwa

She’s been sexually violated an the fact that she seem comfortable with it is the main problem it gives them courage to continue
