Zavion Kotze ignores "haters", celebrates baby's arrival

Zavion Kotze and his husband John Brereton are on cloud nine following the arrival of their baby girl, and nothing, including negative comments, can dampen their spirits. 

The couple welcomed a daughter named Quinn via a surrogate mother on February 25. She weighed 2.7kg and measured 50cm long

The proud new parents introduced their little princess to the world last week.

"After a wonderful two days of meeting her Durban Grannies, Grandpas and Durban Uncles we off to JHB to settle in and meet JHB Oupa, Ouma and GGMA’s.  It’s so special to capture her meeting her family for the first time and she has soooo many more family members that are dying to meet her, all in good time .. Quinn, you are unbelievably loved by all of us already," Zavion wrote on Instagram.

The former 'Survivor' contestant has shared several pictures and videos of his bundle of joy since then.

One picture shows Quinn meeting her oupa and ouma in Johannesburg, while another image shows her sharing a special moment with her great-grandmother. 

Zavion and John also captured the moment they brought the new addition to the family home for the first time. 

Despite scores of people, including family and friends, flooding the couple's posts with messages of congratulations, some social media users were not as kind. 

Fortunately, they did not let the haters kill their vibe. 

"[We] just wanted to say thank you for all the love, support and messages we’ve been receiving. If we can teach our Quinn to be kind to others, we’ll feel we have done a good job. We will also be teaching her that if she doesn’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything," Zavion wrote. 

He added: "Even though there are haters out there - all three of us are keeping our heads up high. We won’t be put down by close-minded humans because LOVE IS LOVE."

The couple tied the knot in 2016 near the Swartkops Mountains in Magaliesberg.

Zavion is a celebrity wedding and events planner. He has planned weddings for stars such as Somizi Mhlongo and Demi-Leigh Tebow. 

Zavion spent their last anniversary as a family of two reflecting on their wedding day. 

"The past seven years [have] been extraordinary with you, I’m so very very grateful for everything you are and everything you do .. Our next anniversary we’ll celebrate with our daughter in our arms, how mind blowing is that 🥹 @johnbrereton85 - I love you so very very much," he wrote in December.
