Would you get a free mystery tattoo?

A famous tattoo artist is giving people free tattoos, on one condition, the inking has to be a surprise.

New York tattoo artist Scott Campbell is not your average artist. His A-list celebrity clients include Robert Downey Jr, Orlando Bloom, and Sting.

He is known to charge $1,000 (about R13,700) for his first hour of work, putting his services way out of reach of the average man on the street.

But ordinary Londoners will soon get the chance to get one of his designs tattooed on their arm for zero cents.

Following the success of his Whole Glory Mystery Tattoo project in New York in 2015, Scott has decided to take the project to new shores.

The project saw scores of people lining up to get a free tattoo. All they had to do was stick their arm though a hole in a wall, and then get a tattoo design they have never seen.

After restaging Whole Glory in June, Scott is now taking it to London’s Covent Garden this October.
