What happened when Facebook was down
Updated | By Staff Writer
The end is near! On Tuesday morning millions of people around the world woke up to find that Facebook and Instagram were down.
Whilst some thought it was just a local network issue, it quickly emerged that this was a global problem with outages everywhere.
In an ironic turn of events, both Instagram and Facebook announced via Twitter that they were working on the problem.
Although the sites are back up, there is no official word on why they were down.
Meanwhile, everyone had a ton of jokes and memes at the ready.
Here's how Twitter reacted to the facebook and Instagram crash.
