Return to Pandora with Jake Sully, Neytiri, and the rest of the Na'vi clan.
Disney and 20th Century Studio just released the full official trailer for James Cameron’s new movie, 'Avatar: The Way of Water'.
The trailer comes five months after the film's breathtaking teaser was released, and a few weeks before its big-screen debut. The sequel to 2009's 'Avatar' will be released on December 16 with some old and new faces.
Zoe Saldana, who was recently seen in Netflix's 'From Scratch', will reprise her role as Neytiri. Sam Worthington is also back as Jake Sully.
Neytiri and Jake now have a family of their own, and must once again fight to survive an RDA mining operation threatening to destroy their home in Pandora. The family moves to a reef that they think will be safer but encounter more problems.
"When you get to the reef, there's a clan we call the Metkayina. The Sullys are no longer in the environment that they know, the rainforest. They become the fish out of water. They become the fish out of water both culturally and just environmentally," producer Jon Landau told Total Film magazine in an interview.

The first 'Avatar' movie remains the highest-grossing film in history, with a worldwide gross of nearly $3-billion (R55-billion).
The film overcame another James Cameron movie, 'Titanic', when it claimed the top spot. Since then, several movies have come close, with 'Avengers: Endgame' usurping 'Avatar' in 2019 to become the highest-grossing film of all time.
That victory was short-lived. 'Avatar' reclaimed the top spot following its re-release in China in 2021. The film was also screened in cinemas in 2022.
'Titanic', which is currently the third highest-grossing movie of all time, will also be re-released in February 2023. It will be available in 3D 4K HDR.
Will James Cameron rule the box office once again? 'Avatar 2' is expected to earn $649-million at the US box office.
According to Variety, despite the high number, 'Avatar 2' is unlikey to surpass Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun: Maverick' ($1.5-billion), which is the highest-grossing film of 2022.
But don't count the Na'vi people out just yet!
