Cassper Noyvest stopped by popular American radio show, The Breakfast Club, this week, and talked all things African hip hop, and how Kanye West stole his stage idea.

The 'Thuto' hitmaker is in New York for the One Africa Music Festival this weekend, and managed to get an interview on the show ahead of his performance.

His interview comes nearly one year after the show's host Charlamagne Tha God dissed Cassper, calling him "some African artist".

It all started in October 2016 when Twitter users in the USA accused Cassper of stealing his floating stage idea from Kanye West.

He pointed out that he was actually the first to use the stage, which featured in his historic "Fill Up the Dome" concert one year earlier.

A few American blogs picked up the story, which was discussed on "The Breakfast Club".

Cassper tweeted about how disappointed he was to be referred to as some artist from Africa.

Charlamagne tweeted him an apology, and invited him on the show. Cassper tweeted him in June to let him know he was going to be in New York this month, and Charlamagne told him to "pull up".

And that he did.

Cassper addressed the drama over his floating stage. Charlamagne told him he didn't know how to pronounce his name, and that's why he referred to him as some dude in Africa.

"Kanye did steal your floating stage idea," Charlamagne teased.

Cassper also admitted that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend Boity, and she found out about it on his album, 'Thuto', after he rapped about it on a song.

He also told the hosts that he is not only a big deal in South Africa, but the whole of Africa. One thing Cassper refused to talk about was his beef with AKA

He says he doesn't like mentioning his rivals.

"I don’t like talking about it. My whole thing is, everybody needs to work for them to get to a certain point. I can’t be here talking about somebody who’s never worked to get here," he said.
