Viola Davis jumps out of a plane to make daughter proud
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
Moms can relate to the funny reason Viola Davis jumped out of a plane despite being absolutely terrified.

Viola Davis is fighting to get as many cool mom points as possible, even if it means jumping out of a plane to impress her teenage daughter, Genesis.
The movie star stopped by the 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' show to promote her new action film, 'G20', which was shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
During the interview, Meyers shared a picture of Davis standing next to a helicopter at one of the film's premieres.
Davis revealed that they wanted her to get in the helicopter but she declined.
"I said, 'I'm not getting in a helicopter.' But at the same time, I've jumped out of a plane. What kind of sense does that make?"
The 59-year-old then explained how she ended up jumping out of a plane when she had no plans to do so.
“I did it because we were on a big vacation and my nanny came.
Beautiful girl, Molly. Molly jumped out of the plane, and my daughter
was like, ‘Molly is so brave. Molly jumped out of the plane. And I love
Molly.’ And I was like, 'F**k Molly. Mama, can jump out of the plane,’”
she joked.
Davis was not about to let Molly one-up her in front of her daughter, who is now 14 years old.
“So, I strapped on, and I said, ‘I’m going up there.' And as soon as I was up there, I was like, ‘What the hell was I thinking?’”
Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon, adopted Genesis in 2011.
"There are so many ways to mother rather than to carry a child in your body. So many children need parents, and so many of us want to be mothers. Know that you will experience motherhood to the full extent," she told Instyle magazine in 2015.
The 'How to Get Away with Murder' actress is not the only star of the family. Her "cutie pie" husband makes an appearance in her latest film. He plays a CIA director.
She told Meyers that they met on the set of 'City of Angels'. He gave her his number while she was "chomping down on a cinnamon raisin bagel with tuna fish".
However, it took her six weeks to call him because she was going through a rough patch.
"I had bad credit. I was living in a place where I would have to run by the front desk because I owed them money... and I was figuring out where to live. I was depressed. I was like, 'Now, how am I going to get the restaurant?' I don't want him to come pick me up because I really don't know him like that. It was that kind of stuff," the Oscar winner said.
Davis' new movie 'G20' is available on Prime Video.
