US pizzeria’s genius way to help the poor
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A lot of people want to help the needy, but
some just don’t know how. A pizzeria in Philadelphia, USA, just came up with a
clever way to get its customers into the giving spirit.

Pizza shop owner Mason Wartman introduced a ‘currency’, in the form of post-it notes, that people can use to help feed the hungry.
His idea is similar to a “suspended coffee”, an initiative that sees people at coffee shops buying an advanced coffee for someone who needs it.
Wartman encourages customers to buy a post-it for $1, which they then leave a note on for a stranger, before it is pinned on a wall in the pizza shop.
The notes usually include messages of support and kind words.
Anyone can walk into Rosa's Fresh Pizza shop and use one of the sticky-notes to claim a slice of pizza.
About 10, 000 people have benefited from Wartman’s post-it pizza currency idea since it started.
What an amazing way to give back!
