Is turmeric the answer to your skin problems?

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actress
Daisy Ridley just tried a homemade face mask that beauty bloggers have been
raving about for years.
Daisy posted a clip of her efforts on
Instagram, but she may have gone a bit overboard with the turmeric, and worried
that her entire face would be stained yellow due to her being “slightly”
liberal with the spice.
“I scrubbed my face and I am YELLOW! Ahahahahaha. Will have to see if I'm a squeaky clean clear skinned goddess in the morning,” she captioned the video.
Daisy admitted that she came across the turmeric mask after googling “at home remedies for skin”.
Her hands were stained yellow during the process, and Daisy was concerned that she would show up for “Star Wars: Episode 8” filming the next day looking like a minion.
Turmeric face masks are all rage, and its alleged benefits include treating acne, dark circles, and giving your skin a nice glow.
The standard recipe includes:
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of raw organic honey
1 teaspoon of milk (or natural yoghurt)
*Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon juice – which does wonders for oily skin, and lightens the skin.
Adding a few drops of tea tree oil will apparently help acne sufferers.
The verdict is still out on whether Daisy’s turmeric mask was a hit or miss, but her next post showed her glowing while shooting scenes for the next Star Wars.
Granted, it seemed to be a wet shoot so the glow could be from all those water droplets.
Her skin looks great nonetheless, and we think we might just give this turmeric mask a try!
