Tom Cruise's daughter Suri ditches his last name

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's daughter, Suri Cruise, is all grown up, and ready to make a name for herself without her father's famous last name.

The 18-year-old recently graduated from LaGuardia High School and chose to be listed as Suri Noelle for the ceremony. Katie was spotted at the graduation, but Tom was not pictured.

According to several reports, the father and daughter have been estranged for years. Despite her father's reported absence, Suri was all smiles as she hugged her fellow graduates.

Katie was also beaming with pride as the pair left the ceremony.

Tom was, however, spotted across the pond in London attending Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour'.

The 61-year-old attended the sold-out show with stars such as Liam Hemsworth, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Hugh Grant.

Prince William and his two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are also Swifties. They were spotted on night one of the London leg of the 'Eras Tour'.

It's not the first time Suri has ditched the name Cruise. She was also listed as Suri Noelle for her school's musical production.

Tom was also MIA when Suri celebrated her 18th birthday in April. Some reports suggest that Tom and Suri's relationship is strained due to his ties to Scientology.

The 'Top Gun: Maverick' actor and Katie divorced in June 2012. In a 2013 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media, Tom revealed that Katie left him "in part to protect Suri from Scientology".

He was suing the media company for claiming he had abandoned his daughter.

"Listen, when there is a divorce… things change. It’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation," The Mirror quoted him as saying in the lawsuit.

Tom has two other children with actress Nicole Kidman. The former couple adopted Connor and Isabella Cruise in the 90s.

Suri is not the only celebrity child who has dropped their parent's last name.

Shiloh Jolie Pitt - the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - legally filed to drop Pitt from her name when she turned 18 in May.

Angelina and Brad have been embroiled in a messy divorce since 2016. They were declared legally separated in 2019 but continue to battle it out in court over French winery Château Miraval.

The couple co-owned the winery but Angelina reportedly sold her stake in the company to a Russian billionaire after their split, which resulted in further issues for the couple.
