The date has drawn the attention from fellow South Africans with many asking for it to be televised.
One of the celebrities who has shown support for the date is Thando Thabethe.
The media personality and founder of Thabooty's Underwear took to Twitter to offer Pearl Thusi an underwear set for the date.
"Hey @PearlThusi what’s you cup size? We wanna send you a @thabootys set for your #NationalLunchDate," she wrote on Twitter.
The gesture got many Tweeps excited, with some saying Thabethe's gift will come in handy if Pearl and Mr Smeg take their date to the next level.

Twitter was left buzzing after Pearl Thusi agreed to go on a date with one of her fans who asked her out.
Mr Smeg, real name Michael Bucwa, tweeted: "Hi @PearlThusi , May I take you out for lunch?".
To many Tweeps' surprise, Pearl agreed.
"Yes please. When?" she responded.
The two set up a date for Saturday, 29 January, at Daruma restaurant, Waterfall City, Midrand.
