Spotify "removes" shuffle button following Adele's request

Spotify users can now enjoy their favourite albums without having to worry about the default shuffle option, thanks to Adele. 

The star recently requested the streaming platform to remove the automatic shuffle button and allow users to have the songs played in the correct order, as listed on the album.

"Following the release of ‘30’ by @Adele, Spotify removed the shuffle button as the default option when playing albums. Now, listeners have to listen to every album’s tracklist in order," Tweeted Pop Crave. 

Adele responded by thanking Spotify for listening to her request. She says the order of the songs is important because it tells a story. 

"This was the only request I had in our ever changing industry! We don’t create albums with so much care and thought into our track listing for no reason. Our art tells a story and our stories should be listened to as we intended. Thank you Spotify for listening," she wrote.

Adele released her much-anticipated album, '30', on Friday. 

The album has fifteen songs and features Erroll Garner and Chris Stapleton. 

It has already broken records. The first single from the album, 'Easy On Me', received almost 10-million views in six hours of the release.

It was also announced as Spotify's most-streamed song in a single day.

'Easy On Me' was the fastest song to reach No.1 on the US iTunes Chart.
