She's a wonder! Sophie Ndaba launches empowering platform for women
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
'She's A Wonder' is a safe space for women to breathe a new breath of hope, inspiration, and love.
Actress Sophie Ndaba is on a mission to help women claim back their power.
The former 'Generations' star recently launched a platform called 'She's A Wonder' (SAW), which is aimed at empowering women in all aspects of their lives.
"Our confidence our self-esteem our finances our self love our motherhood! We're claiming it back!" she said.
The star says women carry so much but are hardly celebrated. Sophie held the platform's first-ever event one day before Mother's Day.

She calls her women's empowerment platform her "God project" because she believes all the challenges she faced in life brought her to this moment.
"Lord, I thank you for using me and my story to ensure mothers and broken women out there. Remember that you are a God who restores, and you are dependable. Lord, I never doubted today I would be standing here giving you all the glory and honor for my restoration and a start to a new season you have activated!" Sophie wrote in a lengthy post she shared on Instagram.
She described her platform as a safe space for women to breathe a new breath of hope, inspiration, and love.
Sophie has plans to host several SAW events in the coming months.
"Standby for SHE'S A WONDER WOMEN'S MONTH SERIES. Details out soon! Remember you're a Wonder!"

Singer Nhlanhla Nciza was one of the famous faces at the first SAW brunch on Saturday.
"To be a mother, to be a woman, a caregiver is to be a Wonder. We cried, we laughed, we danced, we got inspired but most of all we felt and received love," she captioned a video from the event.
Nhlanhla revealed that next time she won't be attending as a guest, but as a speaker.
"Thank you @sophiendaba_ for hosting us and congratulations on the 1st series of #ShesAWonder. I cannot wait for the August edition where I'll be one of the speakers."

Sophie Ndaba illness
Despite being a successful actress and businesswoman, Sophie has had a tough few years. She has been the victim of several death hoaxes.
The hoaxes started shortly after concerns about her health were raised in 2018. Pictures of the actress looking thinner than usual prompted social media users to declare that she was ill or dying.
Sophie revealed that her dramatic weight loss was due to diabetes. She now raises awareness about the disease on her social media platforms.
"Living with this deadly disease DIABETES for almost a decade has taught me not to take life for granted. Being attacked, teased, laughed at was nothing! Even declared dead most times was nothing! Let me tell you living with Diabetes is not something you wish on your enemy. It's uncomfortable, painful, confusing, deadly and 24/7 monitoring [is] required!" she wrote in a November 2022 post.
We're glad to see Sophie thriving despite what her haters say. She certainly is a wonder!
