Another celebrity friendship bites the dust...
Somizi Mhlongo has opened up about the end of his friendship with former 'Idols SA' judge, Unathi Nkayi.
Their relationship came to an abrupt end in October 2021 after Unathi unfollowed him on Instagram. She also made it very clear that they are no longer friends.
Unathi made the comments after sharing a post about people who still listen to R Kelly's music, despite the singer being convicted of sexual abuse.
“To ALL my friends who think you’re going to CONTINUE playing R Kelly in my presence. TODAY IT STOPS. No more philosophical B*LL SHIT about you separating the genius from the MONSTER. It STOPS TODAY HMKAY……unless you LOVE being a trigger,” she wrote on Instagram.
Some of the 43-year-old's followers called her a hypocrite and accused her of having double standards. One man claimed she was still friends with DJ Fresh, Euphonik, and Somizi, despite the stars facing abuse allegations of their own.
"Who said they are my friends? We're also not friends you and I," she replied to one Instagram user.

Somizi addressed the drama during a recent episode of his reality show, 'Living the Dream with Somizi'. His close friend, Vusi Nova, asked him what was going on with him and a "certain lady".
“Honestly, I was shocked, I was disappointed, uhm, but it is what it is, and sometimes when people show you who they are, you leave them " he replied.
“Someone that I thought we were OK with went public, Oskido, I believe. The devil does not want to see me prosper. This day has been a day and a half,” Somizi later added.
Somizi has been spilling a lot of tea in his reality show. During the first episode of the new season, he revealed some shocking details about his messy split from his estranged husband, Mohale Motaung.
He addressed Mohale's claims that he enjoyed group sex.
"There's a part where he says I suggested threesomes... My suggestion of not an open relationship, a versatile relationship, was for the benefit of our marriage... because here I was dealing with someone who had issues with sex... I tried to find so many ways of making it work... the sex life was bad," the 49-year-old revealed.
