Proud dad! Somizi can't stop singing his daughter's praises after her big day.
Somizi Mhlongo is beaming with pride after watching his daughter, Bahumi, graduate.
The 'Idols SA' judge shared a video on Instagram of the 27-year-old at her graduation ceremony.
"There was a time I thought I'd never live to see this day....So proud of her.....the first to ever graduate in our family......" he captioned the video.
Somizi joked that it is payback time.
"Congrats baby girl......now from Monday it's payback time for my school fees.....R2-million plus," the 49-year-old wrote.
Bahumi obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from AFDA - a private film, TV, and performance school. She previously studied law but later dropped out to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

Somizi shares Bahumi with actress Palesa Madisakwane. The former 'Isibaya' actress was also in attendance. She shared several pictures from Bahumi's graduation.
"I’m a mother of a graduate," she wrote. Palesa captioned another post: "So proud of you baby girl!"

Bahumi's acting career is already off to a good start. She played a younger version of Lebo Mathosa in a docu-series about the Boom Shaka star's life.
'Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story' aired in November 2019. While some thought Bahumi only got the part because of her famous parents, Somizi strongly disagreed.
"Listen! Never ever question why you get certain opportunities in life. You deserve everything and you must take anything and everything they said you would never have. F**k the haters. It's not your fault that you're my daughter," Somizi wrote on Instagram.
Last year, SomGaga showed off his daughter's acting talent. He shared a video of Bahumi reenacting a jailhouse interview with Angela Simpson - an American woman who was arrested for murder in 2009.
Audio from the interview went viral on TikTok in 2021.
"My school fees are not going waste at AFDA ( in kelly khumalos voice) coz wow dear daughter u killed this....80% natural. AFDA to protect yoself from Twitter trolls who say nywe nywe some ppl study for acting yer u get roles coz of connections...anyway asikho lapho....AFDA yo harness the talent @bahumi777" Somizi wrote.
