Sia is standing by FKA Twigs after the musician revealed she is suing her ex-boyfriend, Shia LaBeouf, for the "relentless abuse" she suffered during their one-year relationship.

The 'Chandelier' hitmaker, who has worked with Shia on some of her music projects, said she is proud of FKA Twigs for speaking out.

"I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single. I believe he's very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims. Just know, if you love yourself- stay safe, stay away," she wrote on Twitter.

According to The New York Times,  FKA Twigs is suing the 'Transformers' actor for "sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress'.

The'Cellophane' singer says she was afraid to speak out as she thought no one would believe her.

"I’d like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency,. The whole time I was with him, I could have bought myself a business-flight plane ticket back to my four-story townhouse in Hackney.

"He brought me so low, below myself, that the idea of leaving him and having to work myself back up just seemed impossible,” she told the publication.

FKA Twigs gave several examples of the abuse she suffered, including an incident in 2019 when Shia allegedly threatened to crash the car he was driving if she did not tell him she loved him.

Shia told the Times that he had no excuses for his "alcoholism or aggression; only rationalisations".

"I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
