Sean Paul sets the record straight about Beyoncé dating rumours
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
"I'd always admired her music and she’s beautiful" - Sean Paul says about working with Queen B.
Sean Paul and Beyoncé had one of the biggest hits of 2003. 'Baby Boy' earned the musicians the number one spot on the Billboard 100 for several weeks.
Despite the R&B-dancehall track doing so well, they only performed the song together a few times. Rumours started to fly that Beyoncé's boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, was jealous of their chemistry.
Another claimed that they were possibly seeing each other. The 'Gimme The Light' hitmaker addressed the claims in a new interview with Daily Beast.
Sean Paul says he was thrilled when he got the opportunity to work with Beyoncé on her debut solo album, 'Dangerously In Love'.
He says he "always admired her music and she’s beautiful".

But rumours about an alleged romance made things awkward between the stars. Sean Paul says they had a "talk" about the whispers after one of their performances.
"... She’s like, 'What’s all these rumors about?' and I’m like “Yo, I’m not saying s**t,' and she’s like 'These rumors f**k with my career. I just want you to know that," the 49-year-old told the publication.
Sean Paul didn't appear in any scenes with Queen B in the 'Baby Boy' music video and was dropped from her VMAs performance. He learned he was cut from rehearsals the day before the show and had to watch her perform the song alone from the audience.
"Beyoncé is coming down the stairs singing the song and Paris Hilton turns to me and goes “Why aren’t you up there?” It was embarrassing and weird," he told Daily Beast.

Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, Sean Paul made it clear that they did not hook up.
"Nah! I wish I did! She’s beautiful."
Sean Paul is gearing up for the release of his new album, 'Scorcha', which drops later this month. "I make party music—something where people can forget about their problems and throw yourself into the party on a weekend—but this album shows a lot more growth as well," he says about his new project.
Some of the tracks on the album include 'How We Do It' featuring Pia Mia and 'No Fear' with Marley and Nicky Jam.
