'Avengers' star Scarlett Johansson earned a whopping $45.5-million (nearly R600-million) in the past 12 months.
Forbes magazine has named Scarlett Johansson the highest-paid actress of 2018. According to the publication, the 33-year-old earned a cool $45.5-million (before taxes) between June 2017 and June 2018. Her role as Black Widow in Marvel's 'Avengers' franchise helped the actress earn four times more than she did in the previous year.
Last year's winner, Academy Award-winner Emma Stone, was not only knocked off the top spot but she failed to make the list. Coming in at number two is Angelina Jolie, who earned $28-million, thanks in part to a movie that has not even hit the big screen yet.
According to Forbes, the 43-year-old was paid in advance for reprising her role in 'Maleficent 2'.
Jennifer Aniston claimed the number three spot with earnings of $19.5-million, thanks to big endorsement deals.
Rounding off the top five is 'Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence ($18-million) and Reese Witherspoon ($16.5 million).
'Bad Moms Christmas' star Mila Kunis, Wonder's Julia Roberts, 'Thor' actress Cate Blanchett, Life of the Party's Melissa McCarthy, and Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot complete the top ten.
