SA model to play Christian Grey?
Cape Town-born Bryce Thompson, who’s now based in New York, is so sizzling hot that he’s been asked to audition for the 50 Shades movie….
The 30-year-old has caught the eye of movie execs who are planning to bring E.L James’ erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey to the big screen.
According to the Examiner, “Bryce Thompson may not (yet) be a favorite for the role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, but Team Fifty sees potential in the South African model.
"Approached to send in an audition tape for the role, Thompson is now in the beginning stages of the casting process, which likely includes a slew of other men.”
Thompson, who is also a professional photographer, athlete and loves playing paintball, was even handpicked by Cosmopolitan magazine as one of its favourites to play Christian Grey.
Thompson himself would love to land the role. Replying to fans on Twitter, he wrote, “I do want this role, and all the dedicated fans are part of the package. Big packages are better!" and later tweeted, “Lets hope it goes to the next round, all of the support is amazing. Xx.”
50 Shades of Grey – the movie - is set to be released in August next year even though the cast is yet to finalised.
Producer Dana Brunetti says they are taking their time choosing the lead stars because they have to make sure the chemistry between them is right.
