Rugby star Herschel Jantjies welcomes baby girl Alyssa

Stormers rugby player Herschel Jantjies and his partner, Kelsey Thomas, are the proud new parents of a baby girl.
The couple announced their baby news on Instagram this week. Kelsey revealed that their daughter, whom they named Alyssa-Rose, was born on February 24.
"Perfection! TYJ for a healthy little girl," she captioned a picture taken in the delivery room.
Scores of people sent the couple congratulatory messages.
"Yes world, she is here. A healthy baby girl. I can just stare at her the whole day," one Instagram user commented.
Layla Kolbe, the wife of Cheslin Kolbe, also sent the couple well wishes.
"Cannot wait to meet her," she wrote.

Herschel, who helped the Springboks lift the Rugby World Cup trophy in 2019, announced he had a baby on the way in November last year.
The couple shared several pictures taken during their maternity shoot. Kelsey revealed in a separate post that pregnancy was a humbling experience, but she loved "every moment of growing this blessing".
"I’ve had, according to many, a fairly easy pregnancy. No morning sickness, no weird cravings, or any other weird symptoms. I experienced the odd backache and tiredness which is normal in all trimesters. But, [the] third trimester is something else and especially these last few weeks before my due date," she wrote in January.
Kelsey added that she felt like she had aged 20 years.
"Swollen, sore hands and feet. Can’t walk properly, daily braxton hicks contractions, my hips hurt, can’t sleep. You really become over the pregnancy and just want your baby to be born. Despite all these thing though, I am super grateful to be carrying a healthy baby!"
