RIP Malome Vector: SA mourns the loss of award-winning rapper

Tributes are pouring in for South African award-winning rapper Malome Vector, who passed away in an accident.
South Africans are mourning the loss of another musician.
Malome Vector, real name Bokang Moleli, has been trending at #1 under 'Trending in SA' on X following the news of his passing.
The award-winning rapper passed away while on his way to Lesotho to shoot a music video. The accident happened in the Free State.
He was traveling with two other musicians, Lizwi Wokuqala and Puleng Phoofolo.
All three musicians reportedly died on the scene.

Ambitiouz Entertainment, the musician's record label, confirmed the death on social media.
"With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of a shining beacon; the Lion of Lesotho's sun has set. Our deepest condolences go out to his loved ones and industry peers during this time of profound loss," the label wrote on X.

The news of his passing comes two months after another South African entertainer died in a car crash.
In May, playwright and musician Mbongeni Ngema passed away. Ngema was returning from a funeral in the Eastern Cape.
Other entertainers who passed away in 2024 include actor Lebohang Mpyana and popular DJ Mashata, whose real name is Peter Mabuse.
