Riky Rick drops major bombshell about Mabala Noise
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
“After long prayer" Riky Rick has decided to leave Mabala Noise, but the drama doesn't end there!
Riky Rick took to Twitter on Monday to make a shocking announcement.
He revealed that he will be leaving his record label Mabala Noise Entertainment.
The "Boss Zonke" rapper's bombshell comes weeks after he spoke out about the "trash" music on radio.
It seems Riky Rick has done some more reflecting since then, and decided Mabala Noise is not the label for him.
The label came under scrutiny in 2016 after Julius Malema accused the company of using government tenders to fund the business, and paying new artists up to R5-million to sign with them.
The label's co owner, Reggie Nkabinda, who is the ANC Youth League's treasurer general, denied the accusations.
Malema was one of the first people to react to Riky Rick's Twitter statement about his departure.
"I know @rikyrickworld and @MAJORLEAGUEDJZ personally & I had advised them against joining the corrupt @Mabala_Noise even at the beginning," Malema tweeted.
But as far as Mabala officials are concerned, Riky is going nowhere.
"I don’t know what Riky Rick is saying on social media, that’s his own thing. We have a long standing contract with Riky Rick still in place. He is still very much part of Mabala Noise,” Mhlo Gumede, the label's Head of Communications, told Sowetan LIVE
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Mabala Noise want Riky to return the expensive car they bought him, and return the cash advance he was given, which allegedly amounts to millions!
"At this point They have taken back what they think makes me happy. They have threatened the future of me and my family. They want us gone," the rapper tweeted earlier today.

I didnt think about the consequences or who would get mad. I just wanted to do the right thing. Inspire the kids to not be slaves to THEM.
