'Renaissance: Act II': Beyoncé makes surprise album announcement

Beyoncé is exploring a new music genre with her next album.
The 42-year-old surprised her fans on Sunday by announcing part two of her critically acclaimed 'Renaissance' album. Queen B shared the news during a Super Bowl advert.
In the Verizon ad, the 'Break My Soul' hitmaker tries several different things to go viral, including holding a concert in outer space and running for president.
She finally decided to "break the internet" with a special announcement.
"Okay, they ready. Drop the new music," she says in the ad.

Beyoncé also simultaneously released two new songs, 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages'.
The announcement sent her fans into a frenzy.
"Already on repeat," one Instagram user said.
Another user commented: "I’m OFFICIALLY A COUNTRY GIRL FROM NAMIBIA…Scoot over."
Beyoncé's new album will reportedly lean into the country genre. Queen B has been dropping hints on social media. She has been pictured in cowboy hats and even wore one to the 2024 Grammys.
'Renaissance: Act II' is expected to drop on Friday, March 29. It will be her eighth studio album as a solo artist.
