Elle Woods and her bubbly personality are coming to a small screen near you...
Good news for fans of the 'Legally Blonde' movie. Reese Witherspoon is reportedly working on a spin-off TV series.
According to E! News, the actress, who played Elle Woods in the film, is working with the creators of 'Gossip Girl' to bring the TV version to life.
She is set to executive produce alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Reese's production company, Hello Sunshine, is reportedly developing the show for Amazon.
It's unclear if Reese, who is now 48, will appear in the spin-off. She was 25 years old when she appeared in the 2001 film.
The rom-com also starred Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Jennifer Coolidge and Matthew Davis. Reese's character, Elle, is a rich, blonde, fashion-obsessed sorority girl who is on a mission to win back her ex-boyfriend.
He dumped her over dinner because he didn't think she was the type of girl a future senator like himself would date.
She enrols into Harvard Law School to prove to him that she is not a dumb blonde.
The movie became a cult favourite and there was even talk in 2020 of 'Legally Blonde 3' being in the works.

Nothing became of that project, but it seems the TV spin-off may be the fix fans so desperately need in their lives.
MORE ON EAST COAST RADIO:
'Legally Blonde' fans think Reese's daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe should be cast as Elle in the series.
"Netflix should make a spin-off series of Legally Blonde and have Reese’s daughter (literally her TWIN) star in it," one fan tweeted in 2021.
Others want aspiring lawyer, Kim Kardashian, to make a cameo appearance. She is a 'Legally Blonde' stan and dressed up as Elle for Halloween in 2019.
