Pink Floyd's Roger Waters says he is "more important than The Weeknd and Drake"

The diss comes after his 'This Is Not a Drill' concert received less media coverage from Toronto publications than The Weeknd's.
Co-founder of rock band Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, is making headlines after throwing shade at Drake and The Weeknd.
Waters was speaking in an interview with The Globe and Mail, where he was questioning why his 'This Is Not a Drill' concert did not receive a lot of media coverage from Toronto publications.
He was reportedly told by The Globe and Mail's Brad Wheeler that his concert "wasn’t the biggest in town that night".
He was also told that the reporters were focused on The Weeknd's show. However, The Weeknd's show was cancelled last minute due to a power outage at the Rogers Center.

Waters said that it “seemed odd” that the Weeknd’s concert received more media coverage than his show, even though it was cancelled.
He has also questioned why the reporters did not offer to cover his show on one night and The Weeknd's show the other night, because the 'Save Your Tears' hitmaker's show was scheduled for two days.
"Would it not have been possible to review his show one night and my show another night?" he asked.
The star went on to say he did not know who The Weeknd was.
"I have no idea what or who the Weeknd is, because I don’t listen to much music. People have told me he’s a big act," Waters told the publication.
"I’ve got nothing against him. … I’m not trying to make a personal attack. I’m just saying it seemed odd."
The 78-year-old musician said he is far more important than The Weeknd.
"With all due respect to the Weeknd or Drake or any of them, I am far, far, far more important than any of them will ever be, however many billions of streams they’ve got," Waters said in a scathing diss.
"There is stuff going on here that is fundamentally important to all of our lives," he said.
