Pearl Thusi is fuming after a podcaster insinuated that she is a "deadbeat mom".
Don't mess with a mother bear and her cubs!
'Queen Sono' actress Pearl Thusi is clapping back after Nhlamulo 'Nota' Baloyi questioned her parenting skills.
The podcaster labelled Pearl, who is a mother of two, as a "deadbeat mom" and "helicopter mom".
Nota went as far as claiming that Pearl's daughter is being raised by her father, while she is more interested in taking pictures with her kids for social media.
He also took a swipe at the 34-year-old's close friend DJ Zinhle. "She uses her family to make money for everything. It's not like her music makes money," he said.

Pearl wasted no time putting Nota and his crew in their place.
"1- I have two children (that I love, live with and I pay for everything). 2- I’m a black woman. Why are white women never targeted- because they are feared for some reason. Backing down is never an option when it comes to my kids and the lessons o teach them," she wrote on Twitter.
She added in a separate tweet: "My kids will never even have a chance to believe there is a world where their mother won’t even try to defend herself. What lesson am I teaching them in my own household?! That men can say whatever they want and get away with it?!? Never."

The 'The Scorpion King: Book of Souls' star says people can say whatever they want about her, but don't mess with her kids.
"Talk about how you hate my tweets, my house, my looks my clothes and even my work… I don’t care- enjoy your opinion. As soon as you involve my kids- you’re starting a war," she wrote.

Whatever happens - I’ll rest knowing I tried to defend myself and my kids therefore teaching them that no man or woman has the right to attack them unprovoked and wrongfully.
Pearl says she has realigned her vision and goals to make sure that she spends as much time as possible with her children.
"My life, my career choices and even coming back to South Africa - was centered around my children. I realigned my vision and goals to make sure I could be here for them and provide for them."

"Lastly- women in this country can’t allow abusive men to think they can do or say whatever they feel like because the internet isn’t regulated. I’ve decided to choose my battles, yes. But I’m not a pushover! & I hope other women can learn from those who stand up for themselves," she wrote.

I realigned my vision and goals to make sure I could be here for them and provide for them and the idea that someone can wake up and decide to say whatever suites their narrative

Apart from the reality of this situation- there’s also how I’ve struggled to provide yet balance being there for my kids for big and little things…
