PICS: Olympic champ Tatjana Schoenmaker's pre-wedding celebrations
The bride to be can barely contain her excitement as she draws closer to marrying the man of her dreams - who just happens to be Rachel Kolisi's brother!
Olympic gold medalist Tatjana Schoenmaker will soon be walking down the aisle and the swimmer has already kicked off her pre-wedding celebrations.
Tatjana is engaged to sports manager Joel Smith. He is also the brother of Rachel Kolisi. Joel previously worked as a chief operations officer for the Kolisi Foundation.
Tatjana and Joel announced their engagement in April, a few months after making their romance Instagram official.
"I am lost for words. I am flippen going to marry the man of my dreams. I am in absolute awe and gratefulness to have the privilege, firstly to love you and now to start a new journey with you. GOD IS SO GOOD!" Tatjana captioned a series of pictures from their engagement on Instagram.
It seems their big day is around the corner because Tatjana recently celebrated her kitchen tea. A kitchen tea is usually celebrated a few weeks or months before a wedding.
Tatjana's close family and friends gathered in Pretoria to celebrate the bride-to-be. While a kitchen tea is usually just for the bride, Joel was pictured at the gathering.
"It all started out with a dm… Can you believe it all came down to this? Kitchen Tea weekend. Unbelievably grateful for the strong, loving, and supportive women in my life!" she wrote.

Joel's sister Rachel left several heart emojis in the comments section of Tatjana's post. Her husband, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, also liked the post.
Joel is also excited about his upcoming wedding day. He revealed earlier this month that their big day will be taking place sometime in November.
"Two months until I get to introduce you as my wife. Where is the fast-forward button?" he wrote on Instagram.

Tatjana and Joel started dating in 2022. They kept their romance under wraps until earlier this year. Joel celebrated Valentine's Day by sharing a picture of his "valentine" on February 14.
Tatjana shared the first picture of Joel on her social media pages a few weeks later. "..and then you came along and everything changed," she wrote.
And soon they will be Mr and Mrs Smith. Joel revealed in a birthday post dedicated to Tatjana in July that he wished he met her sooner.
"To think that this time last year I didn’t even know you to being engaged less than a year later - it is impossible to deny God’s involvement in this amazing love that we get to share... Happy Birthday, my love, I’m sorry that this is only the first time I get to celebrate your birthday but I can’t wait to celebrate every single one of your birthdays into the future," he wrote.
