Nomzamo Mbatha set to host virtual Miss SA 2020 ceremony
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Miss SA officials have revealed that actress Nomzamo Mbatha will be hosting this year's virtual pageant.
It's been a rough year for most of us, but one person whose 2020 is doing better than okay is Nomzamo Mbatha.
The actress spent the first quarter of the year on a Hollywood set. She was busy shooting scenes in Los Angeles for her upcoming movie, 'Coming 2 America'.
The sequel to the 1998 classic stars Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, and James Earl Jones.
Last week, Nomzamo - who is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador - delivered a pre-recorded speech on gender equality at this year’s 75th UN General Assembly.
That would have been the perfect way to cap off an amazing year, but Nomzamo had more good news to share this week.
The 'Tell Me Sweet Something' star has just been announced at the host of the Miss SA 2020 ceremony.
The virtual event will be taking place later this month.
"IT IS OFFICIAL! So honoured to be the host for this year’s MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2020 pageant! LIFE IS BUT A DREAM @official_misssa you ready?" she wrote on Instagram.
