The new season of Netflix's popular psychological thriller series, 'You', is just six weeks away, and Joe Goldberg is going out with a bang.

Netflix released the official trailer for season five this week and it will leave your jaw on the floor. Joe is back in New York after season four saw him causing chaos across the pond in London.

The trailer shows him back where it all began – Mooney's bookshop.

He appears to be living his dream life with his wife Kate, played by Charlotte Ritchie, who knows all about his dirty, murderous secrets.

The Goldbergs are now a well-known couple, which means it won't be long before the ghosts from Joe's past come back to haunt him.

“One of the most fun things about this season is the Prince Charming aspect, that Joe is actually famous. All the other seasons, he’s been really under the radar. That’s how he is able to move from season to season and place to place, because of his anonymity. Now that he is well known in New York, social media is on him. That’s something fun for us to explore," executive producer Justin W Lo told Tudum.

Joe also appears to have a new obsession this season – free-spirited Bronte, played by Madeline Brewer

This will be the final season of the 'You' series, and the trailer promises many twists and turns.

"Just give this man his Emmy already because this looks like it's going to be his best acting yet, in this final season of 'You'," one YouTuber said.

Another user predicts that Joe will get what he deserves after four seasons of murder sprees.

"Not sure if this is what they're going with, but him being locked in that cage for the rest of his life actually seems like a pretty fitting ending for his character."

But as Joe points out in the trailer, "Is it so wrong if it's for the right reasons?"

Viewers will find out how Joe's story ends when season five drops on April 24.

"Netflix, you better not chop this season in half like you’re used to," one person said.

Fans will be pleased to know that all 10 episodes of the new season will be released at the same time.
