Netflix's Afrikaans-speaking demon on 'Lucifer' has SA in stitches

Kan jy vir my verstaan wat ek praat? Read that again, but this time in a demon voice!
Do demons speak Afrikaans? They do on Netflix's hit show, 'Lucifer'.
South African born actress Lesley-Ann Brandt plays a demon named Mazikeen (Maze) on the show.
During a session with her therapist Linda, Mazikeen asks if she can speak Lilim - the language of hostile night creatures.
Mazikeen then proceeds to speak her demon tongue, which just happens to be Afrikaans.
"Kan jy vir my verstaan wat ek praat? Want ek wil saam met jou praat,” she says in a demon voice.
Netflix South Africa shared the clip from season four's first episode after hearing that Afrikaans was named the second sexiest accent in the world.

Lesley-Ann, who currently lives in America, says she hopes to add other SA languages to her demon dialogue on the show.
"Thank you. I would have thrown in some of our country’s other languages too if I could speak it. Perhaps I’ll get @PearlThusi to teach me. There’s always a season 5 possibly and I love repping SA," she wrote on Twitter.

South Africans were both proud and amused by Lesley's Afrikaans-speaking demon voice.
