Netflix shares new 'Bridgerton' season 3 teaser

'Bridgerton' fans are eagerly waiting for the season 3 premiere of the popular show to drop. 

As of Friday, March 22, there are 55 days to go until viewers can watch Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton's (Luke Newton) love story unfold. 

Netflix has been sharing sneak peeks in the build-up to the new season. This week, the streaming platform released a new teaser that has fans of Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) swooning. 

Kanthony, as the couple has been dubbed on social media, got married in season 2 of the show. 

Unlike season one's star couple, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page), viewers get to see Kanthony's love story continue in the new season. 

Albeit on a smaller scale. Netflix's latest teaser reveals that Kate and Anthony are still madly in love and happily married. 

"As one can see, life after marriage has not dimmed the flames that burn between these two in the slightest," the teaser is captioned.

The same can't be said for Penelope and Colin. He still has no clue that Penelope has a massive crush on him. 

She decided to forget about Colin after hearing him talking negatively about her in season two. Penelope hasn't given up on love entirely and is determined to find herself a husband. 

In the new teaser, Penelope can be seen standing awkwardly on the sidelines as other couples take to the dancefloor.

Viewers can't wait to see what season 3 has in store for Penelope and Colin. Many women are thrilled a love story involving a plus size woman will take centre stage on a popular series. 

"As a woman of size...as a wallflower...as someone who was always friendzoned...as someone who identifies as Pen in almost every way, I cannot stress how amazing it will be to see this storyline come to life! Representation matters, in any way, shape or form. Love this show and thank you to all of you for sharing it with us!" one Instagram user wrote.

Another user added: "Penelope is going to have that man ON HIS KNEES."

Will Polin, as fans call Penelope and Colin, finally get their chance at love? Part 1 of 'Bridgerton' season 3 will premiere on May 16. Part 2 debuts on June 13.
