Most influential royals - Prince Harry and Meghan beat King Charles
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex beat all but one senior royal family member on this "influential list"...
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are enemy number as far as the British media is concerned, but there is no denying the royal couple's star power.
Both Harry and Meghan have beaten King Charles in a new study that ranks the most influential royals.
GetInsta conducted the research by analysing Google searches, TikTok views, Instagram hashtags, and articles from around the world.
The late Queen Elizabeth II is rated as the #1 most talked-about royal on the list with an influence score of 38 out of 40.
"She brings in a total of 7.9 million global Google searches a month, has had 26.1 billion views under her hashtag, appears in 1.7 million Instagram hashtags, and has been written about in 916,869 articles in the previous year," the study states.
Prince Harry ranked second. His influence score is 32. The 39-year-old is technically the most influential living royal. This is despite the UK media's efforts to paint him as a spoilt brat.
Harry released his bestselling memoir, 'Spare', in 2023 and hosted another successful Invictus Games.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is in third place with a score of 30. The 42-year-old reportedly has plans to re-launch her Instagram page, which would increase her popularity even more.
“I’m getting back … on Instagram,” she told The Cut in 2022. Fans believe they found the Instagram page she will use. It is simply @meghan.
However, Meghan has yet to confirm or deny that the mystery account belongs to her. It currently has 127,000 followers.
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is one place behind Meghan on the influential royals list with a ranking of 27.
Surprisingly, King Charles ranks ahead of his son and heir to the British throne, Prince William.
Charles is at #5 (score 26) on the list, while Williams is at #6 (score 23).
Princess Diana, Princess Anne, Prince Margaret, and Queen Camilla complete the top 10.
Camilla ranked the lowest of the bunch, with a score of 7 out of 40.
