'Miracle Babies': Hilary Swank is expecting twins at 48!
One year after her father passed away, Hilary Swank was excited to share some good news with her fans, but not everyone was happy for her...
Hilary Swank is going to be a mom for the first time at the age of 48. The two-time Oscar winner shared the exciting news on Instagram.
Hilary, who many will recognise from movies such as 'P.S. I Love You' and 'The Next Karate Kid', revealed that she is expecting twins with her husband, Phillip Schneider. The couple tied the knot in August 2018.
"Coming soon…DOUBLE feature," the 'Boys Don't Cry' actress wrote on Instagram. Scores of people, including singer Janet Jackson, flooded the comments section with messages of congratulations.
"I am SO happy for you! An entirely new and exciting world is about to come to you!!! Congratulations," Janet, who welcomed her son Eissa age 50, wrote.
Despite the massive outpouring of love, Debbie Downers were not so kind.
"AREN'T YOU LIKE 50 YRS OLD? Gonna be in your 70's when they graduate college. MIGHT live to see their wedding, maybe," one user asked.

Hilary's followers and famous friends stood up for her after the criticism. Former 'Shameless' actress Emmy Rossum threw all her skaam cells out the window and clapped back at the hater.
"Gfy," she replied. The abbreviation stands for "go f**k yourself".
Hilary stopped by 'The Drew Barrymore Show' to talk about her show 'Alaska Daily'. Drew described her twins as miracles. Hilary then revealed why her pregnancy is extra special.
She shared her baby news one year after the death of her father, Stephen Michael, and they have a surprising due date.
"They’re due on his birthday. Yeah, I know. It’s like, [wow]," she told Drew about the special connection.

The 'Million Dollar Baby' star, who has already passed the 12-week mark, revealed on 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' that twins run in her family.
"It's double the excitement. My grandmother was a twin. My husband's grandmother was a twin. So we have twins in our lineage."
A few days before announcing her pregnancy, Hilary paid tribute to her late father.
"I can’t believe it’s been a year since you’ve transitioned. You are missed beyond measure and forever in my heart," she wrote on his one-year death anniversary.
It is still too early to talk baby names, but it seems highly likely that Hilary will honour her father in some way or the other.
