Melania Trump slammed by celebs for offensive jacket
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Celebrities have come out in full force to criticise Melania Trump for wearing a jacket with an offensive slogan while on her way to visit detained immigrant children.
What was she thinking? That's the question many people are asking after America's First Lady, Melania Trump, wore a jacket with the slogan, "Don't really care, do you?".
She was on her way to visit immigration children who were detained on the US-Mexico border in Texas after her husband, President Donald Trump, came under fire for his zero-tolerance policy.
The policy saw more than 2,300 children separated from their parents or guardians.
According to the Daily Mail, Melania wore the olive green khaki jacket while boarding her plane to Texas, but changed into a different outfit for her unannounced visit to a youth shelter.
A spokesperson for the First Lady says "it's just a jacket. There was no hidden message".

Donald Trump had a different take on why his wife was wearing the jacket.
He said she was trolling the "fake news" media.
“I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!

Pres. Trump says it was meant to send the media a message: "Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!" https://t.co/5sH5yuzBnl pic.twitter.com/sXWgZvQ2ot
Celebrities joined scores of people in criticising Melania for the blunder.
If Melania Trump actually did wear the “I really don't care do u?” jacket to troll the media as she was visiting traumatized children, as her husband claims, that’s even more pathetic than it being a dumb blunder. The White House is more committed to trolling than helping people.
